Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens (or simply Nora from Queens ) is an American comedy television series starring Awkwafina that starting time aired on January 20, 2020 on Comedy Central. The serial was renewed for a second season before the serial premiere, and received generally favorable reviews from critics.[one] The second season premiered on August 18, 2021.[ii]

On April 17, 2018, it was announced that Comedy Key had given the production a pilot order. The episode was written past Awkwafina and Teresa Hsiao. Executive producers were set up to include Awkwafina, Karey Dornetto, Peter Principato, and Itay Reiss. Dornetto was also expected to serve as showrunner and Hsiao as a co-executive producer. Product companies involved with the pilot were expected to include Principato-Young Amusement, later rebranded as Artists First.[4]
On November 29, 2018, it was announced that Comedy Cardinal had given the production a serial lodge for a beginning season consisting of x episodes. Awkwafina, Hsiao, and Dornetto were set to write for the series and Lucia Aniello was expected to directly and executive produce.[25] Ahead of the series premiere, on January 14, 2020, it was reported that Comedy Central renewed the series for a second flavour.[26]

Alongside the airplane pilot order announcement, it was confirmed that Awkwafina would star in the product.[4] Concurrent with the series order, information technology was announced that BD Wong and Lori Tan Chinn would star in the series.[25] In July 2019, Chrissie Fit and Jonathan Park joined the cast in recurring roles.[27] [28] On Baronial xiv, 2019, Jennifer Esposito was bandage in a recurring chapters.[29] On March 24, 2021, Alan Kim was cast in a invitee starring role for the 2nd season.[5]
